Ginger Lemon Tea

Cold and cough are something which everyone suffers from atleast once in their life. However, some of you are more prone to developing recurrent colds. If you’re tired of the constant medications and pills for your annoying cold, try these home remedies to feel better.

1. Ginger Lemon Tea –
A hot cup of ginger lemon tea is the best brew for the nasty bouts of cough. Ginger has amazing anti-inflammatory properties which drain the fluids from your infected throat. Lemon is rich in vitamin C which helps fight infections. Mix a few drops of lemon with warm water and grated ginger. Add honey if you prefer a sweeter taste. Drink this twice daily to get rid of your cold.

2. Honey –
A teaspoon of raw honey does wonders to a soothe a sore throat and dry cough. Honey with its antibacterial, antiviral and antioxidant properties, is the perfect natural remedy for curing you cough and cold. Mix honey in warm water or have it plain to calm your throat for a few hours.

3. Steaming –
Steaming is good to ease stuffy noses and sinus troubles. Take warm to hot water in a bowl and throw a large towel over your head to trap the steam. Breathe in the hot steam for atleast 10 minutes. Your blocked nose will start unclogging and you will begin to feel relieved and fresh.

4. Salt-Water Gargle –
Salt water gargling is a perfect remedy for an aching throat. The anti-inflammatory properties of salt along with warm water soothe your sore throat. Mix a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water and gargle gently for 30 seconds. Repeat this 4-5 times a day to notice the improvement in your throat pain and voice.

5. Turmeric Milk –
Turmeric milk is the most ancient remedy for every ailment in the world. With over 600 medicinal properties, turmeric is the best remedy for that nasty cold. Add a teaspoon of turmeric to some warm milk and drink it twice a day.
